With Square connected, ring up in-person payments on a Square Terminal - tap, swipe, and chip, including Interac debit. Tips sync to your appointments and reports automatically. Save a client's card on file through Stripe or Square for future visits, sell and redeem gift cards, run client tabs on account, and handle tips, refunds, returns, and exchanges with full history on every appointment.
Run the back office from anywhere
Works the same on the counter tablet, your phone, or a desktop. Payroll handles hourly, salary, commission, and split pay with overtime, timecards with PIN clock-in and location tracking, and printable pay runs. SMS you can actually predict. Your plan's segments reset every month, and you can watch them go down in a live usage meter with a heads-up email at 80 percent. If you ever run low, client confirmations and reminders keep sending while marketing pauses, so the people in your chair never feel it first. Optional auto top-up can add a 500-segment block when you run out, capped at two per month, off by default, with a receipt for every charge. You are never billed a surprise.

A segment is 160 characters of plain text. Long messages and emoji use more, and PSL shows you the count as you type.
Questions groomers actually ask
Do I have to download an app?
No, but you can if you want to. PSL runs in the browser on any device: iPhone, Android, tablet, laptop, or desktop. Prefer an app? Install it straight from the browser in one tap on any device, or grab the native Android app with push notifications so bookings, payments, and cancellations ping your phone the moment they happen. Either way, log in and your whole day is there.
Do you take a cut of my payments?
No. Connect your own Stripe or Square account and payments go straight to you. You pay your processor's standard rates and nothing more, and PSL adds zero platform processing fees. Prefer a different processor? Bring your own. Cash, e-transfer, cheque, or any custom payment type can be recorded in PSL at no extra cost.
Is the SMS really included?
Yes. Every plan includes a monthly SMS allowance: 500 on Starter, 1,500 on Growth, 5,000 on Pro. If you need more, extra blocks are $20 per 500 segments.
Does PSL calculate payroll deductions?
PSL prepares payroll: hours, overtime, commission, splits, and printable pay runs with gross amounts. CPP, EI and income tax withholding stay with your accountant or CRA's free payroll deductions calculator, so the numbers you remit are always the official ones.
What if I'm on paper right now?
You're exactly who PSL was built with. Set up your services, add clients as they book, and the system starts paying for itself with the first deposit it collects and the first no-show a reminder prevents.
Can I cancel anytime?

Is my data safe?
Yes. PSL runs on Supabase, a managed Postgres database with row-level isolation, so one salon's data is isolated at the database level from another. All traffic between your browser and PSL is encrypted. Card payments are handled directly by Stripe or Square, the same payment processors trusted by leading Canadian and global businesses, so PSL never sees or stores card numbers. We don't sell your data, ever.
Is it compliant with Canadian messaging law?
Yes. All client messaging is CASL compliant: every email includes one-click unsubscribe, and clients can reply STOP to any text to be instantly opted out.
